Advanced CSV Converter 6.37

Advanced CSV Converter Editor's ReviewAdvanced CSV Converter is a simple tool for converting CSV files into a wide variety of popular file formats. It only supports CSV as the input format, but it can convert files into HTML, XLS, DBF, XML, or RTF. The program looks just like a wizard. You have to walk through a couple of steps, in order to convert your file.
First thing you need to do is enter the input file's location. You should also enter the output file and the new format you want to use. Next, a small preview of the entire file appears inside a grid. The main window doesn't support resizing. If you have a CSV file with a lot of fields, you need to scroll in order to view all the data. This step is also used for configuring the delimiter used in the CSV file. The application also supports defining a maximum size for each field and filtering the results.
Depending on the output format you choose, the third and final step may not exist. This step (if it exists) allows you to configure the output. For example, if you want to export text files, you can configure the fields delimiter, whether to put the fields into quotas, and so on.
Pluses: The application supports command line options. It can even convert multiple files at the same time, but you'll have to use the command line. The graphical interface doesn't offer a multiple file conversion feature.
Drawbacks / flaws: Whenever I try to check the "Header in first line" box from the second step of this wizard, the program displays an error message and closes itself. I also noticed that when exporting into text format, the program doesn't enclose each field into quotas.
In conclusion: The program has some advanced features, that make it pretty useful. However, I would have liked it to be more customizable and it would have been nice if every feature worked properly.
